Job Description

An extraordinary Non-invasive cardiology practice opportunity, Advanced Fellowship in Heart Failure  required. A "first class" cardiology group, new heart hospital, beautiful "upscale" city. OHI is highly regarded nationally and regionally for their clinical, academic and research excellence.

Oklahoma Heart Institute (OHI) is an academically styled, nationally involved, technology-driven cardiology practice, located in Tulsa, OK. This position will be filled by a board certified or board eligible non-invasive cardiologist. The candidate should be well trained in all aspects of general, clinical cardiology, plus have completed or will complete an Advanced Fellowship in Heart Failure.

The group is highly regarded nationally and regionally for their clinical, academic and research excellence. OHI enjoys a very active office practice with seasoned, knowledgeable staff and a "lifestyle" friendly call arrangement. They successfully maintain a superb practice relationship with local and regional hospitals and the referring physicians they serve.

This practice offers dominance in the field of cardiology with an advanced approach to subspecialization, with access to the most state-of-the art diagnostic equipment available. Clinical research opportunities abound but are not a requisite portion of the job. University academic affiliation is available if desired. This group offers all cardiac services and the collegial nature of the physician mix provides an unparalleled practice environment.

OHI has been instrumental in the development of Oklahoma´s largest, most comprehensive heart hospital dedicated exclusively to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart problems, which opened its doors in the spring of 2009. In honor of this stellar group, the hospital bears their name - Oklahoma Heart Institute (OHI).

The Heart Failure CARE (Cardiomyopathy Assessment, Research and Education) Center is the region's first dedicated inpatient and outpatient heart failure center.  OHI's non-invasive cardiologists, advanced practice nurses and other medical experts round out the superlative team. The cardiologist selected for this position will enjoy a key leadership role in the continued development of OHI's Heart Failure program.

The financial & benefits package for this cardiology practice opportunity are highly competitive with other prominent groups, plus a generous relocation allowance.

Tulsa, Oklahoma´s beautiful location provides ample sunshine and outdoor activities year-round. Numerous lakes and rivers provide the area with a green and hilly topography, which make it unique among South-central cities. An excellent cost of living, superb cultural events, an upscale housing market, progressive schools and friendly attractive neighborhoods make Tulsa an exceptional place to live.
